It’s raining money, would you let it go or harvest?

While whole country is celebrating water week with the slogan of “water and energy”, nature has been busy showering loads of money with every single drops of waterwithin these week, once again showing itsgenerosity. Not everyone gets gifton Christmas but nature is so promising, it blessed us with 38.6mm of water with bonus of hail.

Exhibiting the rain day

This was my maiden experience with much excitement to organize the exhibition of the international posters on rainwater harvesting to observe the World Water Day on 22 March 2014.

Raindrop posters inspired hundreds

“Our efforts were well paid off by the 70 enthusiast visitors attending the poster exhibition although the afternoon received a heavy downpour of first rain in Kathmandu,” shared Raj Prasai, coordinator of the event from Nepal Youth at GUTHI (NYG).

A rewarding experience

It was really daunting task to exhibit the posters on rainwater harvesting at Nepal Art Council, Babar Mahal.  We didn’t have enough experience, time and budget to carry out the project. But, we were determined that every thing would go well.

Microsoft-CITYNET Appathon Uncovers Innovative Solutions for Kathmandu

The first CityApp Appathon organized jointly by Microsoft and CITYNET (The Regional Network of Local Authorities for the Management of Human Settlements) included 103 developers from across Nepal building web and mobile applications to solve Kathmandu’s biggest urban challenges.
