दस दिनमा पानी

 केयूकेएलको कार्यालय दूधपाटीमा दिनहुँ खानेपानीको समस्या लिएर उपभोक्ताको भीड लाग्ने गरेको छ । वैकल्पिक व्यवस्था हुन नसक्दा खानेपानीको समस्या थपिँदै गएको छ । भक्तपुर — जगाती, बासिकचा क्षेत्रका बासिन्दाले गाग्री भर्न नपाएको तीन महिना बित्यो । काठमाडौं उपत्यका खानेपानी लिमिटेड (केयूकेएल) ले सातामा २ दिन वितरण गर्दै आएको पानी तीन महिनादेखि ठप्प भएको स्थानीयको गुनासो छ । भक्तपुर नगरका अधिकांशले ट्यांकरको भरमा पानीको उपभोग गर्दै आएका छन् ।

 

पानी पुनर्भरण अभियान

काठमाडौं महानगरपालिकाले एउटा राम्रो अभियान आरम्भ गर्ने तरखर गर्दै छ । काठमाडौं महानगरभित्रका हरेक घरमा एउटा इनार बनाउन लगाउने, त्यस्तो इनार बनाउन महानगरले पनि सहयोग गर्ने र इनारमा वर्षाको पानी घरको छतबाट सीधै जम्मा हुने व्यवस्था गर्ने गरी अघि बढाउन लागिएको यो योजना नेपालका लागि नौलो हो । तर, यो उत्तिकै आवश्यक र नगरी नहुने काम पनि हो । महानगरको यो प्रयासलाई सबैले साथ दिनु जरुरी छ ।

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The sidewalks surrounding Ahmed Al Barak’s corner market in one of San Francisco’s roughest neighborhoods are filled with cardboard, used syringes and homeless people who have nowhere safe to go at night.But Al Barak says it’s an improvement from a year ago, before the city posted a portable toilet across the street from his business in the city’s Tenderloin district.

Nepal 4th most water stressed in SA

The World Resources Institute’s updated Aqueduct Water Risk Atlas has revealed that Nepal ranks 40th in the list of countries facing water stress in the world.

While the water stress has been categorised as ‘extremely high’ in western Nepal, the stress level is high in mid-western and central regions of the country. The eastern and far-western regions of the country face medium to high water stress, according to WRI.
