Rainwater harvesting emphasised

A national conference on ‘Rainwater Harvesting for Livelihood, Community and Ecosystem Resilience’, concluded today, adopting a seven-point declaration on utilisation of rainwater.Rainwater harvesting is accumulation and storage of rainwater for reuse, rather than allowing it to run off. Harvesting of rainwater simply involves the collection of water from surface on which rain falls, and subsequently storing it for later use.

काठमाडौं। नेपालमा वर्षातको पानी संकलन गर्न सामुदायिक उपयोगको लागि पोखरी बनाइएको स्मरण गराउदै सरोकारवालाहरुले यसलाई फेरी व्युताउन आग्रह गरेका छन। नेपालमा वर्षातको पानी संकलन गर्न घरघरमा बलेनी र पदालोको व्यवस्था गरिएको तथा टोलटोलमा पोखरी बनाइएकाले यस्ता मौलिक परम्परालाई पुनःजागृत गराउनु पर्ने आवश्यकता बिज्ञहरुले आग्रह गरेका छन।
