Internally displaced population living in Liwali Camp has to walk half an hour to fetch drinking water

After a massive temblor shook the country in April 25, the core city of Bhaktapur witnessed major destruction collapsing hundreds of houses, casualties and cultural importance monuments. As a result many local residents have been displaced from their own native town. Liwali camp was established after houses of the people living in the southern part of Bhaktapur were destroyed in the earthquake.

Menstrual Hygiene Orientation and Material Distribution in Machhegaon

Menstruation is an integral and normal part of human life, indeed of human existence, and menstrual hygiene is fundamental to the dignity and wellbeing of women and girls and an important part of the basic hygiene, sanitation and reproductive health services to which every woman and girl has a right. However, menstruation is a too often a social taboo, which is related to the negative cultural belief in Nepal like: menstruating women are dirty, contaminated, they shouldn't be touched. Many girls drop out of their school because of the cultural restrictions and unavailability of   sufficient menstrual needs of women.

Children find it fun to be at Bhuikhel Community Centre

The 25th April and 12th May earthquake in Nepal left many children out under the sky. They were traumatized and not able to go to their schools. #GUTHI, a non-government organization, with the support of #INCLUDED operated #ASP (After School Program) classes for children in #Bhuikhel, Swoyambhu.
