KMC plans for its own waste management service

KATHMANDU, JUN 15 - Kathmandu Metropolitan City is planning to launch its own waste management service in the capital, a job carried out by private firms until now. By operating its own waste management service, KMC expects to control haphazard fees levied by private firms for garbage collection, and provide better service.

Exhibition on rooftop gardening

KATHMANDU, JUN 07 - Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) on Saturday organised an exhibition on rooftop gardening, one of its acclaimed campaigns, in order to promote household greenery. The exhibition hosted stalls from people, who have cultivated vegetables on their rooftop, and other experts in the field.

KMC to organize city cleanup campaign on Sithi Nakha
