Staff Profile

Prakash Amatya is Technical Advisor at GUTHI. He has been working tremendously in the field of water, sanitation and hygiene sector. He now stands in Nepal for his contribution in advocacy for the urban migrant, strengthening their capacity, skill improvement. With his Microbiology, Environmental and Business management major and past experiences in promoting rainwater harvesting and fresh water conservation, he is an adept in understanding environmental issues in the perspective of the needs and limitations of business, municipalities and non-profits. He is currently working in the public toilet management reforms.




Janu Dangol is Hygiene Officer at GUTHI. She has completed her Master’s in Sociology. She even completed her post graduate diploma in Gender. She works in the field of Menstrual Hygiene, wash and waste. 




Mina Malla Thakuri is Project Support Officer, Kathmandu Recycled initiative of GUTHI. She has completed Bachelor Degree in Education. She studied language and Computer in Japan from 2014 to 2019. She had worked as field mobilizer at PRISM (Poverty Reduction in Solid Waste Management) in 2011 to 2014.




Shreesha Nankhwa is the Research and Outreach Associate at GUTHI and looks after research projects within GUTHI related to water, sanitation and hygiene. She also handles the documentation and dissemination of information within and outside of GUTHI. She has graduated with a Master's in Environmental Science from Central Department of Environmental Science, Tribhuvan University. Her core areas of interest are water, climate change and sustainability. She also loves to travel to new places and try new food.




Shristi Maharjan is an intern at GUTHI. She is enthusiastic and social person currently doing Master’s in Development Studies and dedicated towards sustainable development of Nepal. She is interested to focus her learning career in humanitarian. She is involved at Kathmandu Recycled project as a program co-coordinator.




Padma Deula is an Office Cleaner at GUTHI.  She has been working since May 2019.




Archana Shrestha is an intern at GUTHI. She  has been studying Bachelor’s in Environmental Science in Tri-Chandra Multiple Campus. Her core area of interest is water and sustainability.
