About Emergency Rain Project

GUTHI, understanding the need to meet the water demand, initiated mission to assess the situation and developed the Emergency Rain Project in partnership with International Rainwater Harvesting Alliance (IRHA). The project has been supported by the Republic and State of Geneva and the City of Geneva.The main objective of this initiative is to ensure safe Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) through the regular supply of water and improved sanitation services.

The project covers two sites: Viswa Niketan Higher Secondary School located at Tripureshwor, Kathmandu and Internally Displaced People (IDP) camp located at Liwali, Bhaktpur; both the communities are in high demand of water.
