KUKL has dues of Rs 1.5 b

The Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL) has unrecovered water tariff amounting to Rs 1.52 billion including Rs 700 million transferred from the Nepal Water Supply Corporation (NWSC) six years ago.

KUKL to revise water distribution schedule

KATHMANDU, Nov 23: In what comes as a blow to residents of Kathmandu, officials at Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited have said that the production of drinking water has declined sharply, making it difficult for them to meet the growing demand for water.

Locals discover 900-year old stone spout at Kimdol

An ancient and rare stone spout has been discovered at Kimdol, Chhauni. The stone spout, found to be 900 years old by the Department of Archeology (DoA), was discovered by the locals three weeks ago.

$94,648 Japanese aid for drinking water

The Government of Japan has decided to extend financial assistance of US $ 94,648 (approximately Rs 9,187,481) to Nepalese Humanitarian Help Organisation, an NGO in Kathmandu, according to a press statement issued by the Embassy of Japan in Kathmandu.
